Copper IUD or Mirena??

Which is better? I dont really like have something with hormones but im not sure more or less heavier more painful peroids. What is your experience next to these? I have the Mirena so it get my vote. I couldn't take BC pills because they made me terrifically mean. I haven't have any bad side effects next to Mirena. Only good things to report approaching no more heavy scratchy periods and no PMS. Love it.
I've merely had a Mirena, so can't comment on the copper IUD. I hold just have my second Mirena fitted after five years with my first, so that should be a honourable indication of how I personally surface about it. I hold always have problem periods, I started at 10 and they be a nuisance from at hand on in. I be under a gynaecologist at 14 and be put on the pill which eventually helped me to regulate them, however didn't cure the extreme stomach-ache of my periods. I granted to have the mirena fitted after my second child as a more hassle free form of contraception and my mum be then on her second Mirena and have had suitable results (having the same issues as I used to). Also I turn into a completely very moody piece on the pill and on the depo. For the first year of the Mirena I did own erratic periods but no torment, after then it settle considerably and it have been great to forget something like it really until I had it replaced a few months ago and also to own virtually no periods!! This time I own had sore breasts for a while, but beside the help of Evening Primrose grease this has stopped. While my mum and I enjoy had right results, a friend of mine had it removed as she didn't approaching it, but I think she didn't really donate it chance to be honest and beside all things within life you want to give these things time! Good luck and I hope my positive experience of one of your choices help.
