C-Section and Ab Muscles?

I had a c-section surrounded by 2006. I have a 5" horizontal deformity that runs along the top of the pubic bone. It's called a "bikini" style because it's low plenty that it's covered by a bikini-bottom, I guess.
I'm trying to lose weight presently. I still have a pot belly. Does anyone know if they cut five inches right across your ab muscles when you own a c-section? I'm thinking that they must have to capture the baby out. But if my ab muscles be cut, I'm wondering how I'd be able to do sit ups.
Does anyone know what the procedure involves? I will ask my doctor at my subsequent appointment but I need to know very soon. Yes, they cut through all of the layer in demand to gain access to the pelvis where the uterus is, when a transverse (horizontal) incision is made. The muscles are sewn backbone together during the closure and they heal next to time, although they can become stretched which causes the "pooch" that heaps mothers have.
I'm not sur eof the procedure but I have a c section within 2005 and like u I hold a step down to my scar which looks approaching a pot belly. And I find it really hard to tone the lower abdominal muscles, although not long I've been going to toning table and that seems to be helping as it concentrates on one muscle nouns at a time so works it harder i guess
